All-WAC Academic Release
The University of Wyoming men's swimming and diving team wrapped up a great season in the pool last month and topped it off with another great season in the classroom as 11 Cowboys earned All-Western Athletic Conference Academic Team honors on Wednesday. The 11 honorees marks the most for the Pokes since 14 swimmers earned Academic All-Mountain West in 2011.
To be eligible, a student-athlete must have completed at least one academic year, have at least a 3.2 cumulative grade point-average and have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's contests.
The Pokes' 11 Academic All-WAC members is the most of any others men's swimming and diving team in the league this season. Wyoming's group combined for a cumulative GPA of 3.44.
The Wyoming contingent was composed of five sophomores, three juniors, two seniors and one freshman.
