PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. -

The doubles team of Veronica Popovici and Dorottya Jonas had their week ended on Wednesday at the Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Championships in Pacific Palisades, Calif.

In the qualifying doubles backdraw, the pair lost to the team of Erin Stephens and Iris Verboven, 8-4 of Ole Miss.

"We played well against an aggressive team today and just couldn't break their serve," said volunteer assistant Maciej Bogusz. "There were a few long games, which were keys to winning this match, and Ole Miss came out on top. We will use the next week to work on our doubles game before heading out to the ITA Regional tournament."

The entire Cowgirl tennis team will return back to action on October 9 as they head to the ITA Mountain Regional Tournament. It will run from Wednesday, Oct. 9-Sunday, Oct. 13, in Las Vegas.
