COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - University of Wyoming senior Ashley Hutchinson was named the Mountain West Co-Women's Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week, announced Tuesday by the league.

Hutchinson, from Spokane, Wash., earned first-place honors in the women's weight throw at the Robert Shine Invitational last weekend in Laramie, Wyo., posting a career-best throw of 65'-4.75" (19.93m) to claim the individual title. Hutchinson's mark ranks second in Wyoming program history, fifth in MW history, and 23rd in the NCAA this season. It is Hutchinson's first career honor.

The UW senior shared the honor with Air Force senior Paige Blackburn.
