LOS ANGELES (AP) -Afam Muojeke scored 19 points and Tyson Johnson added 16 points as Wyoming defeated Loyola Marymount 62-55 on Saturday.
Muojeke, the second leading scorer in the Mountain West Conference at 19 points per game, made 7-of-12 shots and scored 16 of his 19 points in the first half.
With the scored tied at 51-51 with 4:31 remaining in the game, Johnson and Sean Ogirri each converted four critical free throws down the stretch to help Wyoming (6-1) seal the win.
Ogirri scored 10 points for the Cowboys and Brandon Ewing dished out seven assists for Wyoming.
Marko Deric tied a career-high with 16 points for the Lions (0-8). Kevin Young had 10 points and 13 rebounds for LMU, who dressed only eight players due to injuries.
The Lions shot only 31 percent for the game (21-67), including 4-of-19 3-pointers. LMU has lost 16 games in a row dating back to February 2008 and 27 of 29.
