COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -
On Wednesday, the Mountain West Conference announced its 10th Anniversary Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Teams. Included on the men's team was former Wyoming Cowboy Scott Usher.
Usher was a five-time All American for the Cowboys from 2002-2005. He was the first Cowboy swimmer to make the U.S. Olympic team, which he did so in 2004 and had a seventh place finish in the 200 breaststroke. Usher also won six MWC breaststroke championships in his UW career.
The teams were selected by a combined panel of media, institutional and conference personnel, as well as an online fan poll. In order to be eligible for consideration, candidates must have been a top finisher at the MWC or NCAA championships.
Anniversary teams will be chosen for each of the 19 conference-sponsored sports during the 2008-09 seasons in celebration of the Mountain West's 10th anniversary.
