LARAMIE, Wyo. -
The annual Cowboy Joe Club Auction is nearing and the deadline for reservations is this Friday, Sept. 21. The auction will take place on Friday, Oct. 5 at the Taco John's Events Center in Cheyenne.
The annual auction, which is the Club's single-most successful fundraising event of the year, has been a sellout in years past so fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets by this Friday's deadline.
Tickets are available by calling the Cowboy Joe Club at 307-766-6242. Prices are $70 per person, $130 per couple or $500 per table of eight. Admission includes dinner, complimentary cocktails all evening, a bidder packet and a thank you gift.
"The items we have received to auction off are one of a kind and first class, and I think folks will be really excited to see the packages we have put together," said Associate Athletics Director Josh Rebholz. "We are very excited for this year's auction.
"The auction is a great opportunity to visit with Wyoming coaches and staff, as well enjoy a great dinner and great fun. We expect to sell out with 700 folks from all over Wyoming and the region. This is a great event, which will generate serious funds for Wyoming student-athlete scholarships.
"Auction Committee Chair Harry Kembel and his wife Shirley, along with several other auction committee members, volunteers, and Board of Directors have done just a superb job of soliciting auction items from all over the State of Wyoming and the entire country. The Cowboy Joe Club couldn't raise the projected $250,000 without them."
