Sara lettered for the Cowgirls in 1980 and she still ranks fifth on the single-season steals list with 68. Sara (St. Clair) Robinson graduated from the University of Wyoming in 1986 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education. Following that, she taught elementary education at Fort Washakie School and Wyoming Indian and coached various sports. She then returned to the University of Wyoming Law School in 1993 to earn her Jurist Doctorate which she completed in 1996. After completing Law School, Robinson worked for the Eastern Shoshone Tribe, Wyoming Legal Service, the Shoshone and Arapaho Tribal Court, and did private firm work. Currently, she has a contract position with the State Public Defender's Office. Sara is from the Wind River Reservation in Wyoming and presently lives in Boulder Flat Community with her husband Tim and her three children. Her children are Tim, Jr (22), Tahnee (17) and Buell (7). Tahnee will be a freshman next year at the University of Wyoming. Sara also has a granddaughter named Halle Robinson who is four years old. Her parents are Darwin and Sandra St. Clair, who also live on the Wind River Reservation.
What affect did playing basketball have on your life?
"I started playing basketball as a young girl. My dad was my first coach. When he taught skills, he always used common sense, everyday examples in our lives to get his point across. Through basketball, I have learned many valuable life lessons, a value system, and personal experiences that have shaped me into who I am today."
Favorite Wyoming memory:
