LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - Adrian Tigert scored 21 points and pulled down 11 rebounds as Wisconsin-Milwaukee beat Wyoming 84-69 Tuesday night.
Wisconsin-Milwaukee trailed at halftime but applied full-court pressure in the second half and pulled away, outscoring Wyoming 52-29 in the last 16 minutes. The Panthers had 11 points off turnovers in the second half, compared with just four by Wyoming.
Wisconsin-Milwaukee (7-3) also out-rebounded Wyoming 40-30 in the game, scoring 17 points on second-chance opportunities. Wyoming had just one second-chance point in the contest.
The Panthers went on a 23-6 run and gained their first lead of the second half, going up 55-46 with 9:15 to go. They never trailed again.
Joah Tucker added 19 for the Panthers. Boo Davis had 11, and Chris Hill and Avery Smith each scored 10 for the Panthers.
Wyoming (6-5) was led by Brad Jones, who had 16 points and nine rebounds. Steve Leven scored 14, and Brandon Ewing added 12.
The Panthers jumped out to an early lead after a 16-4 run put them up 18-10 with 11:15 left in the first half. But the Cowboys stormed back as Brandon Ewing's three-point play capped off a 20-4 Wyoming run that made it 35-26 with 1:12 left.
Tucker made the last basket of the half, and Wyoming led at halftime 35-28.
