BOISE, Idaho (AP) - Ryan Dinwiddie threw for four touchdowns and 285 yardsand Boise State held Wyoming to three points in the second half in a 33-17 winSaturday night.
Dinwiddie completed 27 of 38 passes and had just one interception, but itwasn't until he hit Jerry Smith on a 16-yard touchdown pass with 5:41 remainingthat the Broncos (3-1) were out of danger.
Wyoming (1-4) has lost four straight.
Dinwiddie hit Greg Swenson with a 1-yard TD pass in the first quarter, DonnyHeck with a 23-yard TD throw in the second quarter, and Derek Schouman withanother 23-yarder in the third quarter as BSU extended its home winning streakto 13 games.
After the two teams battled to a 14-14 tie late in the first half, theBroncos scored 5 points in the final 40 seconds of the second quarter to takethe lead for good. Boise State got a safety when Cam Hall blocked LukeDonovan's punt attempt through the back of the end zone, and Tyler Jones kickeda 22-yard field goal on the final play of the half.
Wyoming's Casey Bramlet threw for 241 yards, hitting Malcom Floyd with a63-yard touchdown pass in the first half and Josh Barge with a 41-yard TD throwin the second quarter. But the Cowboys' running game was ineffective,accumulating a mere 32 yards.
Boise state was playing one week after its 13-game winning streak ended witha loss at Oregon State.
