About Brigham Young: The Cowgirls will go on the road to face theBrigham Young Cougars on Thursday night. The Cougars are currently 8-7overall and 0-2 in conference play. They are led by sophomore ErinThorn, who is averaging 16.7 points and 5.3 rebounds per contest.Freshman forward Heather Cheesman is also chipping in 9.3 points and 4.7rebounds. The Cougars went 22-9 overall and 10-4 in the conference lastseason They return 12 letterwinners and four starters to this year'ssquad. This is the 48th meeting between the two schools, Brigham Youngleads the series 34-13. The last time these two teams met was Feb. 10,2000 in Laramie, when Birgham Young came out on top with a 70-69victory. The Cougars are coached by Trent Shippen, who is in his fourthseason.
