This Week: The Cowgirls will open up the Mountain West Conference seasonthis weekend. They will host the Colorado State Rams on Saturdayafternoon at 2:00 p.m., in the MPG.

About Colorado State: The Cowgirls will open up conference play thisweekend against MWC conference rival CSU. The Rams currently have an11-2 overall record. They are led by sophomore forward AshleyAugspurger, who is averaging 12.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per contest.Senior Heather Haanen is also chipping in 11.8 points and 4.3 rebounds.The Rams went 23-10 overall and 9-5 in the conference last season Theyreturn ten letterwinners and four starters to this year's squad. This isthe 58th meeting between the two schools, Colorado State leads 30-27.The last time these two teams met was March 8,in the conferencetournament, when Colorado State came out on top with a 79-57 victory.The Rams are coached by Tom Collen, who is in his fourth season.
