Enthusiasm for Wyoming Cowboybasketball is extremely high, and that excitement has been reflected inseason-ticket sales, according to UW Athletics Director Lee Moon.
Moon indicated that Cowboy fans have purchased more season ticketsthis year than at any time since the 1987-88, campaign. This year's totalhas reached 3,906, almost 600 more than last year's total.
"That number is a great indication of how excited our fans are aboutwhat Steve McClain and his team are doing," Moon said. "Everyone has beenlooking forward to this season, especially in the Double A which is sure tobe very special experience. The program has produced a quality product, andour fans have responded enthusiastically."
The Cowboys have nine home games remaining for the 2000-2001 season.Delaware State is the next opponent in the Arena-Auditorium, scheduled fornext Tuesday, December 19 (7 p.m.). Following a Dec. 30, game with WichitaState (7 p.m.), the Cowboys open the Mountain West Conference schedule,January 20, hosting Utah, for a 1 p.m. tipoff.
