LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - Marcus Bailey and Uche Nsonwu-Amadi scored 16 pointseach to lead Wyoming past Creighton 78-74 on Friday.
After spending most of the second half behind, Creighton (3-2) took a 65-64lead on a basket by Joe Dabbert and, with 2:46 left, a free throw by RyanSears.
With the game tied at 67 a couple minutes later, Wyoming (3-0) got ahead forgood on a slam dunk by Josh Davis. The Cowboys ran home with the win on 4-of-4free throws by Chris McMillian and Nsonwu-Amadi.
The Cowboys' widest lead of the game was 46-36 on a basket by Baileyfollowed by a free throw by Nsonwu-Amadi, with 16:15 left.
Wyoming entered the second half ahead 41-36.
The teams juggled the lead through most of the first period, until theCowboys edged ahead with 3-point success.
Creighton battled to lead 20-16 with 9:40 left in the half. Wyomingcountered with a 3-pointer by Brett McFall and a free throw from Scottie Vines.
The Bluejays recovered to 26-24 on a basket by Mike Grimes. The Cowboys,however, secured the lead in the 4:30 before intermission with five 3-pointers.
The win extended Wyoming's home winning streak to eight games.
