The Mountain West Conference has announced its Academic All-Mountain WestConference honors for the sports of men's and women's swimming & diving. To be eligible for selection to theacademic team, a student-athlete must have completed one academic term at the member institution,maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better and be a starter or significant contributor.
Forty-eight male and eighty-eight female student-athletes qualify for the academic all-conference team in thesport of swimming & diving. On the men's side, Air Force leads the way with 14 honorees and BYU followsclosely with 12. The University of Utah received nine men's selections, UNLV notched eight and the Universityof Wyoming five. On the women's side, BYU and Wyoming tied for the lead with 16 student-athletes each.Colorado State followed with 13 female selections, New Mexico and Utah tallied 11 each, UNLV totaled ninefemale honorees, Air Force had eight and San Diego State notched four.
