LARAMIE, Wyo. -

Marie Le Jour, a sophomore on thewomen's indoor/outdoor track and field team, was selected on Tuesday asa First Team GTE Academic All-District VII Spring At-Large honoree. LeJour, who has earned a 4.00 cumulative grade-point average in geology,is one of 10 individuals to earn First Team honors. She is now eligiblefor the national ballot, which will be announced early this summer.

At the recent Mountain West Conference Outdoor Championships, Le Jourhelped lead the Cowgirls to a third place finish in the inaugural event.She placed third in the discus with a throw of 159' 5", fourth in theshot put with a mark of 47' 1 3/4", and a sixth place finish in thehammer throw (182' 6").

During the indoor season, she was a participant in the NCAA 2000Championships in the shot put. She ranks second on the all-time list inthat event with a personal best mark of 52' 2". Le Jour also standssecond all-time in the javelin with a mark of 133' 4", and fifth in theWyoming record book with a distance of 160' 3".
