The University of Wyomingwrestling team went 1-2 in three duals today, which took place at OakGrove High School in Oak Grove, Mo. The duals were hosted by theUniversity of Missouri. The Cowboys are now 3-2 overall on the seasonin dual action.
In their first dual of the day, Wyoming started strong, defeatingCentral Missouri 31-6. The Pokes won eight of the ten matches on theirway to victory. In fact, the Cowboys won the first five matches for a21-0 lead. Jeremy Sell (165) and Brad Steele (HWT) both pinned theiropponents. Sell won in 1:38 and Steele in 4:24.
In their second match of the day, Wyoming faced the Tigers ofMissouri. The Cowboys and Tigers split the ten matches, but Missouriprevailed 21-18. Wyoming actually led 15-14 with three matchesremaining after Corey Hamrick's 7-2 win over Mark Bader. But Missourithen took a major decision at 141 and Mark Hamrick was defeated 7-6 byJeff Urban at 149 pounds to give the Tigers a substantial 21-15 leadbefore UW's Brian Wood won the last match 5-1 over Jesse Jordan.
The University of Indiana was the opponent for the last dual of theday. The Hoosiers defeated the Cowboys 36-9. Brandon Dansie (174) andBrad Steele (HWT) were the only Cowboys to win their matches. Dansiedefeated Jack Wade by fall at 4:00 and Steele won a 4-3 decision overMichael Dixon. Indiana had three nationally ranked wrestlers, and theyprovided two pins and a decision for IU.

The next action for the Cowboys is Jan. 2 at the Great Plain Open inLincoln, Neb. The Great Plains Open is hosted by the University ofNebraska, and action will take place throughout the day.
