UW sophomore Oscar Delgado was named MWC men'sdiver of the week after his performance at the Early Bird Invite lastweekend.

Delgado, a sophomore from Covina, Calif., won both the 1-Meter and3-Meter Diving competitions at the Early Bird Invitational in FortCollins, Colo., Oct. 22-23. In the 1-Meter event, Delgado's score of462.00 was 4.40 points higher than the second-place finisher. In the3-Meter competition, Delgado cruised to the first-place finish with ascore of 479.75, 62.25 points ahead of the next diver.

Last season as a freshman, Delgado competed in three events at the NCAA Championships. He dove in the 1-meter, 3-meter and the platform events. He placed in the top 30 in each of the events.
