FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) - Milt Palacio scored 27 points and Wyoming nativeGarrett Patik added 14 as Colorado State beat traditional rival Wyoming 91-83on Saturday.
Ceedric Goodwyn and John Sivesind scored 16 apiece for Colorado State (12-5,2-3 Western Athletic Conference) in the Rams' second win in five WAC games thisseason.
Palacio's six assists moved him into third place on Colorado State'sall-time assist list with 369 total. He also had eight rebounds and six steals.
Wyoming (11-5, 2-3) saw its winning streak end at two games despite 29points and 13 rebounds from Ugo Udezue and 20 points and 11 rebounds from JoshDavis.
The Cowboys played without second leading scorer and rebounder AnthonyBlakes, who was out with a stress fracture in his right foot.
Goodwyn scored six straight points to put the Rams up 25-16, but BradleyMann's 3-pointer and four by John Pettersson brought the Cowboys to within twoat 25-23. CSU held a 39-34 lead at halftime.
Wyoming went on a 9-0 run, with five points coming from Josh Davis, in thefirst three minutes of the second half to lead 43-41, but Goodwyn scored sevenpoints to key a 9-2 run and give the Rams a 61-54 edge.
A three-pointer from Patik increased the lead to 64-56. After that theCowboys never got closer than 66-61, on a 3-pointer by McMillian with 8:05remaining.
Colorado State put the game out of reach with 4:49 left after a technicalfoul by Udezue led to two free throws by Sivesind and a 3-pointer by Patikwhich increased the lead to 74-65.
