LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - Ugo Udezue scored 32 points and grabbed 15 rebounds inleading Wyoming passed Texas-Pan American 103-85 Tuesday night.
Wyoming (15-8) snaps a two-game losing streak with the non-conferencevictory.
Udezue was 12-of-25 from the floor and 8-of-18 from the free-throw line forthe Cowboys.
Wyoming led 39-30 at the half and lead by as many as 23 points in the secondhalf.
Freshman guard Chris McMillian had a career high of 24 points. AnthonyBlakes added 19 points, 10 assists, 9 rebounds and 4 steals for Wyoming and Justin French also had 12 points.
Texas-Pan American (4-20) was led by Brian Merriweather's 27 points and JohnBraxton's 15.
Cowboys coach Steve McClain said the victory lifted the team's spirits aftera disappointing recent loss to Southern Methodist University.
"There wasn't any question whether we had to have it, and it was a scarygame because ... I think the kids left SMU feeling like they had really letsomething slip away," he said.
The win stokes the players' enthusiasm for their match against ColoradoState University in Laramie on Saturday.
"I'm trying to keep them excited for ten more days," he said. "I showedthem we could finish as high as second yet, and we could, but we could alsofinish as low as last. But like I told the kids, at least we're still playingfor something. A lot of teams in the country right now aren't playing foranything but to get the seasons over."
