The Wyoming Cowgirls hosted the UNLV Lady Rebels on Thursday, January 28, and were defeated by a score of 83-56.
Wyoming was led by senior forward Jenny Lazzeri, who had a team high 15 points and four rebounds. Lazzeri was 5 of 11 from the floor in 38 minutes as a starter. Senior center Rebecca Tomlin added 14 points and ten rebounds on the night. The Cowgirls shot 37% from the field, and were plagued by turnovers committing 25 on the night.
Unfortunately, the Lady Rebels were on fire as they shot 57% from the field in the first half and 50% for the game. UNLV was led by freshman guard Linda Froehlcih, who finished the night with a team high 25 points and eight rebounds.
