The Wyoming Cowgirls were defeated by the Colorado Buffaloes on Wednesday night, December 9th, by a score of 70-50.
UW is now 3-5 overall this season while CU moves to 5-3.
CU jumped out to a 30-10 halftime lead over a cold-shooting UW squad, and never looked back as they cruised to a 20 point victory. The Cowgirls hit only five of 26 shots (19.2%) in the first half of play.
Wyoming was led by freshman forward Carrie Bacon, who had a team high 17 points and 10 rebounds.
Colorado was led by sophomore guard Linda Lappe who scored a team high 13 points in 27 minutes of play.
Wyoming will now travel to Billings, Mont. to face the Montana State Lady 'Cats on Sunday afternoon at 1:00 p.m.
