LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - Milton Palacio scored 19 points - 15 in the second half - as Colorado State held off Wyoming 80-75 Saturday night.
Ugo Udezue led Wyoming (15-9, 5-7) with 26 points, and freshman Josh Davis had a huge game with 14 points and 13 rebounds.
Ceedric Goodwyn added 18 points for the Rams, and Andre McKanstry 16 for CSU (16-8overall, 6-6 WAC Mountain Division).
Wyoming got off to a slow start in the first half, letting CSU build alead of as many as 16 points before ending the half with a 42-32 lead.
Wyoming battled back to within 59-58 at the 9:15 mark. But Ugo Udezue, theCowboys' leading scorer and rebounder on the season, fouled out three minutes later withWyoming trailing by four points.
It was Wyoming's first home conference game loss this season. In addition,the loss dampened the Cowboys' hopes of making the WAC postseasontournament. Entering Saturday night's game, Wyoming and CSU were on the bottomof six teams vying for five spots in the WAC Tournament.
