LARAMIE, Wyo. – Freshman forward Michaela Stark was named to the 2016 Mountain West Women’s Soccer All-Newcomer Team by the conference head coaches in a poll released Monday. It was the first MW honor of her career.

Stark tallied six goals and one assist in her freshman season, and leads the team with 13 total points. The Broomfield, Colo. native scored four goals in conference games, including a three-game stretch with three goals and one assist. Her three game-winning goals are tied for fifth in Wyoming single-season history.

Stark and the Cowgirls will take on Utah State in the first round of the MW Tournament this Tuesday in San Diego, Calif. Kick-off is slated for 5 p.m. MT.
