LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) -- Wyoming was unable to break through a stingy Air Force defense Saturday and fell 23-3 in the first Mountain West Conference game for both teams.
Cowboy quarterback Dax Crum finished with 72 yards passing and was sacked four times. The Cowboys accrued 216 yards of total offense.
Falcon kicker Ryan Harrison booted three field goals and Shea Smith and Todd Newell each scored one-yard touchdown rushes.
Wyoming returns to non-conference play Sept. 13 when it hosts North Dakota State.
