LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - Ian Johnson rushed for 119 yards and quarterback Jared Zabransky scored a touchdown to give Boise State a 17-10 win over Wyoming on Saturday.
Cowboys quarterback Jacob Doss threw two interceptions and was sacked four times.
The Broncos (3-0) scored all their points against Wyoming (1-2) in the first half.
After a scoreless third quarter, Wyoming's Devin Moore broke away in the fourth and appeared to score from 20 yards. The officials ruled Moore didn't make the end zone, but three plays later Doss made good with a 1-yard run into the end zone, bringing the Cowboys within 17-10.
Wyoming got the ball back later in the fourth quarter, but Doss was intercepted and the Cowboys never got back into the game after that.
Boise State scored both of its touchdowns in the second quarter. First, Zabransky ran in from 6 yards out to give the Broncos a 10-3 lead midway through the period. About a minute and a half later, a pass from Doss grazed Greg Bolling's outstretched hands before being intercepted by Quinton Jones, who returned the ball 61 yards for a touchdown.
Each team scored a field goal in the first quarter. Wyoming took a 3-0 lead on a 31-yard kick by Aric Goodman, but the Broncos tied the game late in the quarter on a 23-yard kick by Anthony Montgomery.
